| Canvas Semi-Hollow
Classic designs and traditional features serve as a starting point for
the Canvas Guitars design and development team. They have done their
homework, and they are versed in the history and genealogy of the guitar.
Knowing what stuff goes out the window and what stuff is incorporated into
a new guitar design is best left to experts. The original designs
that subsequently emerge from our workshop are soon to be classics in their
own right.
CSC
The CSC model was inspired by an acoustic guitar design. Acoustics
generally have larger lower bouts, and, typically, the neck joins the body
at the fifteenth fret. Incorporating these acoustic concepts on an
electric guitar design yields one radical guitar. In contrast to
these acoustic-like features, the neck is shaped after a classic late 1960’s
electric neck – thinner than first generation electric guitar necks that
resembled cumbersome acoustics.
